His Excellency Dr. Harib Al Amimi, President of State Audit Institution (SAI) will chair tomorrow on Tuesday the UAE delegation participating in the 46th meeting of the executive council of Arab Organization of Supreme Audit Institutions (“ARABOSAI”). The meeting will be held over two days commencing from 15 November in Capital of Lebanon, Beirut.
The attendees will discuss many issues related to developing audit work and cooperation among the Supreme Audit Institutions in Arab Countries, discuss report of the professional and audit standards committee and report of the Institutional Capacity Building Committee. They will review the proposal of International Organization of Supreme Audit Institutions (“INTOSAI”) regarding the coordination with ARABOSAI on implementing both organizations’ strategic plans and present the institutions’ reports on their participation in the activities of INTOSAI committees and working groups.
The meeting will comprise 12 institutions chairmen representing 12 Arab Countries which are: The United Arab Emirates, Kuwait, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, Bahrain, Yemen, Jordan, Tunisia, Algeria, Morocco, Lebanon, Iraq, Egypt as well as the General Secretariat of ARABOSAI.
It is worth mentioning that ARABOSAI is a regional organization established in 1976, consists of all Supreme Audit Institutions, members at League of Arab Countries, and comprises General Assembly, Executive Council and General Secretariat.
